Where do you guide?

Minnesota: Boss Fishing focuses on the Twin Cities area, including Forest Lake, Green Lake, Medicine Lake, Minnetonka, and Upper St. Croix River, along with other spots. I can also accommodate trips to Lake Mille Lacs, Brainerd, and the Alexandria area for an extra fuel surcharge.

Wisconsin: Boss Fishing focuses on the western portion of the state, including Balsam Lake, Upper St. Croix River, Wapogasset Lake, and others.

What will we fish for?
We’ll discuss your preferred fish when booking. Boss Fishing is flexible, but let’s make a plan! Common targets include:-

How many anglers can be included in a guide trip?
The Boss Fishing boat comfortably accommodates three anglers plus the guide. -
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes, you’ll need a current fishing license for MN or WI, depending on the location of the trip. -
What should I bring along?
Please bring the following:-

What does Boss Fishing provide?
Boss Fishing provides:-
A smile and good attitude

All fishing gear, including rods, reels, lures, tackle, etc.

An organized and well-maintained boat, motor, and equipment

Life jackets for children and adults
-
Fish cleaning (if desired; please let us know ahead of time)

Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, we provide life jackets in a range of sizes. If you prefer to use your own and it fits well, feel free to bring it. -
Do you provide rain gear?
I usually have some extras available, but it’s best to bring your own to ensure a good fit. -
Can we keep what we catch?
Yes, you can keep your catch. Please let us know ahead of time if you wish to do so. -
What if bad weather is forecasted?
If bad weather is forecasted, we’ll discuss it the day before. We typically fish in the rain as long as it isn’t pouring all day. We’ll take breaks if needed. We won’t fish during visible lightning, and winds of 30mph+ may require rescheduling or reevaluation.
Payment Questions

Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a deposit of $75 per trip is required. The deposit must be received within 7 days of booking to hold your reservation. Deposits are refundable if a cancellation notice is given more than 10 days in advance. If less than 10 days' notice is provided, we’ll work with you to reschedule, and your deposit will be applied to the new date. -
How can I pay for my trip?
We accept cash, check, or Venmo for final payment. All balances are due on the day of the trip. -
Should I tip?
Tipping is not mandatory, but it is greatly appreciated. I take pride in providing you with an awesome trip, and any tip reflects that.
